IDENTITY EXPLORATION
Photographer, Photo Editor
This set of photos is the first part of a series exploring gender identity through self-expression, interests, and habitat. As a gender non-conforming person, my queer identity is an integral part of who I am, how I act, and how I am treated. I wanted to dive deeper into this feeling and see if others around me felt the same.
My dear friend Ashton (he/him) and I spent a weekend talking about what our identities meant to us, how we saw it develop in our lives, and how we expressed our gender identities through clothing. During that time, he let me into the intimate moments of his life with a camera, so that I might show them to a wider audience. I am forever grateful for his friendship and trust in me, and I hope to continue this series in the future. If you would like to learn more, or even be photographed yourself, please contact me for more information.
